IdeaMERGE.NET is an online portal that connects creative people to other creative people for mentoring, idea exchange, and networking. To accomplish this, our members create their own profiles which are able to be viewed by other members of the community. To fulfill the purpose of this site, some personal information we ask for is displayed to people within these networks.
IdeaMERGE.NET collects user-submitted account information such as name and email address to identify members and send notifications related to the use of the service. IdeaMERGE.NET also collects user-submitted profile information such as gender, age, occupation, location, etc.
This is information we collect that is not personally identifiable, such as browser type and IP address. This information is gathered for all members to the site.
Profile information as well as first name, last name, username and photos are displayed to other members of the community, to support the function of the site as social networking community where members can meet new people through other people. Email address and full name are used when a user invites a friend via email to join the service, when a user requests to add another user to their contact list, and when we send notifications to a user related to their use of the service. Except when inviting or adding contacts, a user's email address is not shared or displayed to people within a user's personal network. Members within a personal network communicate on IdeaMERGE.NET with each other through the IdeaMERGE.NET service, without disclosing email addresses. We may also use a user's email address to send weekly updates or news regarding our site, but the user may choose not to receive email of this type by accessing their Account Info. A user may willing share an email address to list items for sale on the Ad Board, however a user does this at their own discretion and IdeaMERGE.NET is not responsible any actions occurring from a user sharing his/her email with other members in connection with listing items on the Ad Board.
We use your server, IP address, and browser-type related information in the general administration of our website.
